Double Court on the Lake

This lakeside property in Marble Falls came with some unique challenges — solid rock shelves just below the surface, a sloped yard, and a homeowner who wanted a clean design that wouldn’t become an eyesore from the house or the water.

Our team designed and built a double court using a strategic cut-and-fill approach, allowing the court to sit naturally within the existing terrain. We tied into the surrounding hardscape, preserving the property's natural character while maximizing function.

The result: a double pickleball court with some of the best lake views around, bordered by natural limestone that helps keep balls in play and adds to the aesthetic. Pure lakeside pickleball bliss.

Before & After

Before & After

Design & Solution

Our team used a cut-and-fill method to position the double courts naturally within the sloped terrain. A 30” x 30’ concrete retaining wall, tapered along the 56’ side, was built for support. The design preserved trees for privacy and natural shade, creating a secluded space for both pickleball and basketball play.

The result speaks for itself

Impact

The new backyard court has become a family favorite and a neighborhood highlight. Offering ample shade and space, it hosts regular family matches and neighborhood games, all while preserving the peaceful atmosphere of the backyard.
